Film Funding
There are a number of film funding bodies
in the UK and the following list provides links for all types
of funding for film projects, large or small. There are no
general funds for film – all the schemes listed here
have very specific criteria.
- Shooting
People
A good general guide and
daily bulletins by email about filming. If you’re
working on a tight budget, this is one of the best ways
to contact people, make
announcements, find your crew and get your technical
problems solved.

- Scottish Screen
The national body
for film in Scotland, with a remit that covers film production,
education, exhibition, preservation and training.
The website will give you a comprehensive guide to the funding schemes available
that have been set up by Scottish Screen and partners: these include short
films, web-based material, documentaries, and young writers as well as production
funding for feature films www.scottishscreen.com
- Glasgow Film Office
Have a production
fund but you will need to show that there will be benefits
to Glasgow (eg hiring crew or using facilities) www.glasgowfilm.org.uk
- The
UK Film Council
Contact details of the regional screen agencies

A programme of the European Union which aims to promote
and develop the
European audio-visual industries by providing funding for
project
