‘Perfect
Day’ Motorcycle safety film (2003)
The region was seen as the perfect location for this three-minute
public safety film shot in the Stewartry in November 2003.
Towser, the production company, were interested in filming
a number of motorbike sequences on well-maintained country
roads with light traffic, and worked closely with the Stewartry
Roads department during the filming.
They were full of
praise for the region, and the helpfulness that local people
showed during what could have been a difficult shoot. Ray
de Haan, the stunt motorbike rider is a film veteran who
has worked on Tomorrow Never Dies, Star Wars, Captain Corelli’s
Mandolin and many other films.
